[ENGLISH GUIDE] Ecstatic Dance Mechanism in 8-Man Party

Yahallow! This time we will discuss an important topic: Dancer's Ecstatic Dance. Nowadays, a Dancer is prioritized as a member in both raid and regular party. Many of you might be unfamiliar with this job, or you might know Genie Spirit well (all stat increase 80%). However, Dancer has a very overpowered skill to support her party: Ecstatic Dance (ED).

Ecstatic Dance can be categorized into three parts: Part I, Part II, and Part III, differ by the timing. We will not discuss about all three parts, we'll just discuss about important skills in Raid Party. If you are not familiar with some skills, please Google it first before asking a question. We will not discuss about ED Part III--the skill only increase your maximum HP and HP recovery--because we already task other competent class for that purpose. So, let's check it out!

ECSTATIC DANCE PART I

There are two types of Ecstatic Dance: Ghoul Summoning (left mouse click) and Dancing Ogre Summoning (right mouse click). I will not discuss Dancing Ogre Summoning in detail here because you (usually) already have a healer in your party. Here are things you need to know about Dancing Ghoul:
  1. This skill has similar effect with Barbarian's Bone Crash. On level 60, max +1 skill (from acc) will give you 4200 bonus damage, while on level 70 max +1 skill will give you 5040 bonus damage (for every hit).
  2. The difference between ED Part I and Bone Crash is its AoE. ED Part I's AoE is 15 meters around casting place, while Bone Crash only affects monsters hit by the skill. Effect duration for ED Part I is 15 seconds.
  3. Any skill, and I mean ANY, will get bonus damage as long as target are located within those 15 meters area from ED Part I's casting place.
  4. The bonus damage can not be boosted with damage booster skills such as freeze / Provoking Slam / Bulls Eye / Etc.
  5. The skill bypasses invincibility one, a situation when a monster uses their defense skill to make damage from all your attacks become 1 (one). You'll still give 1 damage; but the bonus damage from the skill is fixed depending on the skill level.

ECSTATIC DANCE PART II

This skill is very phenomenal in Green Dragon Nest, and only becomes better in this level cap (70). The Dark Elves Dance is the main factor to ensure dancer's slot in Raid Parties. There are several things you need to know about this skill:
  1. Players affected with this skill will have yellow triangle and red exclamation mark signage above their heads for 15 seconds. Leaving casting skill AoE WILL NOT make you lose its effect.
  2. AoE for this skill is around 8 - 10 metres from the caster (need to do more detailed experiments on this, will update later).
  3. The bonus damage percentage is calculated as thus: skill level ratio multiplied by target's lost HP, with 70% HP cap. For example, when you cast this skill in bar x3.5, you will received maximum bonus when the enemy's HP is reduced 70% from 3.5, which is x2.8.
  4. If there are 2 targets, A and B. Target A HP reduced 20% and target B reduced 50%. This situation will not give you 70% bonus damage to both target. Players who got ED Part II buff will get 20% bonus damage ratio when attacking target A and 50% bonus damage ratio when attacking target B.
  5. Bonus damage generated by each player are calculated with amount of lost HP after the skill is cast even though the player did not give contribution to damage beforehand. For instance, a Saint were re-buffing and did not hit the target. When his party members have reduced the monster's HP for more than 70%, the Saint will get damage bonus as much as skill level multiplied with 70% HP loss when he cast Chain Lightning for the first time.
  6. Maximum bonus damage on level 60 (with +1 skill acc) is 1.25 multiplied with 70% HP loss, which is 87.5% damage bonus! For proof, please see the pic below. This fact alone makes dancer as second-best damage booster in Raid party (after Elestra with her 100% Ice Stacking).
  7. Maximum bonus damage on level 70 (with +1 skill acc) is 1.5 multiplied with 70% HP loss, which is 105% damage bonus! A Dancer with maxed ED Part II (with +1 acc skill) is best damage booster in every party (second-best if we have Queen of Ice, Elestra).
  8. Damage bonus ignores iFrame one.
  9. Highly effective in KoS mode in GDN and DDN. Even though KoS in DDN means taking 1-2 bars down with full help from BT and SB!

The Dark Elves Dance!

I am taking two pictures from Spirit Dancer guide in forum.cherrycredits.com to show you that ED Part II maxed with +1 skill acc will boost your damage to 87.5% (Contrary to 70% like popular belief). 70% is the maximum target's HP loss as bonus, and not the bonus damage itself.

Another proof of the 87.5% Bonus Damage

The Bonus Damage is 87.5%

ECSTATIC DANCE USAGE

Ecstatic Dance Part I :
  1. Fast kill in Pirandello Floor I / II / III for achievement or fast clear time.
  2. One of the best damage boost in Infinite Pormido.
  3. Fast clearing monsters mob with one bar HP in Dragon Fellowship.
  4. Fast kill in treasure dungeon.

Ecstatic Dance Part II :
  1. KoS in Raid Party.
  2. Fast HP down in Boss / Mini Boss in a Nest.

In DDN party, Dancer usually use Genie Buff Duration heraldry. By using buff duration, the effect of Genie to the party is increased to 18 seconds. This skill could be your sign to tell your party that Dark Elf Dance is about to begin. You can cast Genie, and then use the 3 seconds extra time to set up your ED Part II. By doing so, your Genie and ED Part II Duration will be parallel.

I hope this article could help you all. Happy Dragon Nest. ^^
